Moraga Community Faire – Saturday, May 11, 2019
The Moraga Community Faire & Car Show is held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a beautiful Saturday in May in the town’s Rheem Valley Shopping Center – offering a wonderful opportunity for a “family fun day” with a climbing wall, bounce house, games, music, arts and crafts, local food trucks, local wine and over 70 amazing classic cars. Moraga 4th of July Celebration – July 4th
Moraga goes all out for this national celebration with its many local traditions, starting off with a Fun Run for all ages at 7:30 a.m. This is followed by a Dog Parade, a Pancake breakfast, a Bike Parade, old fashioned games, a family Magic Show, and lots of Community Booths, all centered in the Moraga Commons Park. Towards evening, music from the stage fills the air, and at dark, the sky is filled with spectacular fire works as folks gather on lawns, parking lots, roof tops, and open fields to watch the “the bombs bursting in air”.  www.moraga.ca.us

CAIFF Film Festival – August/September
See a wide variety of outstanding independent films from creative film makers from around the world. Interact with actors, directors, and screen writers. This and more at the New Rheem and Orinda Theatres for one whole week in September! See one! See ten! Plus fun-filled Opening and Closing nights. www.caiff.org

Pear and Wine Festival – Saturday in September
The Moraga Commons is the site of this annual family friendly event typically held the end of September that celebrates Moraga’s pear history and its growing vineyards. Activities include a pear eating contest, a pear recipe contest, grape stomping, wine tasting, and visiting the booths of local artists, plus those of community and business vendors. www.moragaparks.org/pears.html

Dogtown Downtown – June 1, 2019
Dogtown Downtown will be held on Saturday, June 1, 10am to 12pm (rain or shine) throughout downtown Lafayette. Enjoy a walk through our beautiful downtown and enjoy what Lafayette has to offer! Dogs must be social, friendly and on leash at all times. www.lafayettechamber.org/dogtown

Taste of Lafayette – May 14, 2019
The Annual Taste of Lafayette  is typically held the 3rd Tuesday in May from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.  Stroll through Downtown Lafayette’s Restaurant Row   enjoying samplings and musical entertainment. Ticket holders go at their own pace to any or all of the participating restaurants.  www.lafayettechamber.org/taste

Rock the Plaza – Fridays in June
Lafayette’s Summer concert series takes place each Friday night in June in Lafayette’s Plaza Park at the corner of Mt. Diablo Boulevard and Moraga Road. All shows start at 6:00pm and are presented free of charge. The theme for 2019 is the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock! www.lafayettechamber.org

Art & Wine Festival – Third Weekend in September (Sept. 21-22, 2019)
Considered by many to be the Bay Area’s favorite End of the Summer Party, the  Annual Art and Wine (and Music) Festival takes place on the third weekend in September: Saturday, 10am-7pm and Sunday, 10am-6pm. Continuous music, food choice is everywhere including Lafayette’s Restaurant Row fare, unique wine & beer offerings, original fine art & crafts. Family and dog friendly. Trick or Treat Street – Friday before Halloween
For a fun, safe Halloween event, children and their parents are invited to Trick-or-Treat on Mt. Diablo Blvd. from Oak Hill Rd. to Dewing Ave. and in La Fiesta Square from 4:00-6:00pm on the Friday before Halloween. All participating businesses will display a “Trick-or-Treat” poster and balloons. Please come in costume to receive a special treat. Don’t forget to bring a Trick-or-Treat bag.  www.lafayettechamber.org

Lafayette Res Run for Education – Third Sunday in October
The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and the City of Lafayette are co-sponsors of the Reservoir Run which is traditionally held on a Sunday in October. Beneficiaries of the event are the local schools and the services and programs of the Chamber. The Lafayette Reservoir Run is the city’s most popular “family affair”, involving kids, parents, grandparents, and hundreds of serious runners from throughout the Bay Area. 2200-2500 participants compete in a 10k or 5k Certified Runs and a 2 mile run/walk for fun through the heart of the downtown, around the reservoir and back. Sprinters, walkers, the “stroller brigade” and many of Lafayette’s top four legged residents share the streets on that festive Sunday morning. www.lafayettechamber.org/resrun

Annual Community Thanksgiving Breakfast
– Friday before Thanksgiving
The Annual Community Thanksgiving Breakfast is held on the Friday before Thanksgiving. We invite everyone! Politicos, non-profits, school representatives, business leaders, community leaders, Rotaries, our Chamber members, etc. to all come together to share in a breakfast and enjoy a special speaker. “It’s a Wonderful Life Holiday” Celebration –  First Friday in December
Join us at our annual “It’s a Wonderful Life” Holiday Celebration in Plaza Park at the intersection of Moraga Road and Mt. Diablo Blvd. from 4pm-6:30pm on the first Friday in December.
